In House Basketball League
Registration Begins on November 1st, 2008 and ends November 30th, 2008
There are three co-ed divisions ranging in age from grades 1-6.
Regular season games will be played on Saturdays beginning January 10, 2009.
Teams will practice up to two times per week.
Cost is $45 Resident; $65 Non-Resident
Participants 10 years of age and older must have a current physical exam on file at the Recreation Department prior to participating.

Hayes Elementary School PTO 4th Annual Craft & Vendor Fair
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to let everyone know that Hayes Elementary School 16401 Delaware Ave. will be holding its 4th Annual Craft & Vendor Fair on Saturday, Nov. 15th from 9am-4pm. Admission is Free. Parking available off of Lakewood Hts. in the schools parking lot as well as on Delaware Ave. We will have over 40 Crafters and Vendors as well as Food & Refreshments. We will have a Bake Sale, 50/50 raffle and over 40 items to raffle off. Students and parents stop by our pizza party table to earn a pizza party for your class! The classroom that has the most families show up will win! Please join us to jump start your holiday shopping. We hope to see you there!

Barton Center Harvest Festival
Barton Center will be holding our annual Harvest Festival throughout the entire facility. Open will be: the Book Nook, Corner Store, Fabric Shoppe and Hodge Podge. In addition, a bake sale will be offered. And, our classes will be showcasing their creations such as Arts and Crafts, Ceramics, Knit & Crochete and Sewing. Lovely Antiques and gently used Christmas items will also be available for purchase. Private vendors such as Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, and Tupperware will have tables with their wares. And, of course, the Snack Bar will be open for lunch! All are welcome - come to see what is happening at Barton Center!

Girls with Wings: Aviation Inspiration - 11/22/08
An interactive and inspirational event for girls ages 5-12. Join a professional pilot to hear about her training and career, and then learn “everything” you need to know about flying a plane with hands on instruction. Class will end with a question and answer session. Class taught by Lynda Meeks.

Kayak Open Roll
Lakewood High School pool will be open for kayakers to bring their own kayaks and practice rolls and other techniques. All participants must wear a helmet. All children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a paying adult at all times. All boats must be clean and metal rudders must be removed. Kayaks are to be brought in through the pool's back emergency exit.
Cost is $6 per person, payable at the pool.

Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble 35th Anniverary Performance
The slapping of boots, the twirling of many-layered skirts, the singing, the dancing and the music will get the audience clapping to the rhythm at the Cleveland Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble's 35th anniversary Gala Performance. The ensemble will celebrate the tradition of Hungarian dance and seasonal customs of historical Hungary. This spectacular evening of song, dance and music from the Hungarian homeland will be a testament not only to the richness of the Hungarian culture but also to the Hungarian youth of Cleveland who are preserving the customs and traditions of their ancestors.
