The Fifth Annual Ben Thurmond Memorial Gold Outing

Former Cleveland Cavalier and NBA Hall of Famer Nate Thurmond will host The Fifth Annual Ben Thurmond Memorial Golf Outing to honor the memory of his brother and raise money for the Cleveland Clinic’s Hospice Program, which focuses on delivering compassionate hospice care for patients with terminal illnesses.
The event, which began in 2008, honors Ben Thurmond, a long time Cleveland Public Schools teacher. Nate Thurmond organizes the fundraiser annually to raise public awareness for hospice care and funds for those unable to afford hospice care, and to express his appreciation for the care the Cleveland Clinic hospice program provided to his brother.
In addition to 18 holes of golf, participants will receive lunch, dinner and have the opportunity for a silent auction. Non-golfers can attend the dinner and cocktails portion of the event. To date, the Annual Memorial Golf Outing has raised over than $57,000.

When: Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. Tee time is 11 a.m.
Where: Fowler’s Mill Golf Course, 13095 Rockhaven Road, Chesterland, Ohio, 44026
Cost: $100 per early bird golfer and $400 early bird foursome if registered before June 29, 2012; and $125 per golfer and $500 for a regular foursome if registered after June 30; $55 for non-golfers. Sponsorships are also available.
