National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Cleveland Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony

This year's featured speaker is featuring Wayne Drash, author of "My Son is Mentally Ill So Listen Up," at its Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, April 24. Mr. Drash is an award-winning writer and producer for CNN.com. His article about Stephanie Escamilla chronicles a single mom's desire to put pediatric mental illness in the news, has received worldwide response.
During the meeting NAMI GC will present the following awards:

The Lakewood Art League is proud to present WJW's Dick Goddard.
Richard D. "Dick" Goddard is a television meteorologist, author, cartoonist, animal activist, sports team associate, Woolybear festival creator and more.
Dick will be speaking on these topics.
Dick has served with the US Air Force and is a graduate of Kent State University majoring in broadcasting and drama, along with studies in art- specializing in cartoons.
He holds the title of 'The Longest Airing Meteorologist' in television history. Dick is a well-respected animal rights advocate; introducing "Dick Goddard's Law", a bill to increase the severity of penalties for abuse into the Ohio general Assembly in 2013.
The March speaker is Jolene Arthur. She is an elementary school art teacher and will demonstrate on Monday March 24th- 7:00 P.M. $3.00 for non-members.
The Non-Profit Lakewood Art League has been in existence for 64 years, started by art enthusiasts. The benefits of becoming an art league member include: Monthly newsletter and meeting. The meeting includes a demonstration in various mediums by a well- known artist. There are also display opportunities available.
Non-member fee is 3.00 for each lecture and you don't have to live in
Lakewood to join or attend.
