The Gail Bash Memorial Symposium: Understanding BRCA 1 & 2

BASIC NEWS-RELEASE:

"Imagine Peace" task force, of Rocky River, will host a free, one-day, multimedia, public-education forum regarding drone-technology, as developed for national-and-international business, government, and the military. The event, entitled "Drone Teach-In," will be held on Saturday; April 5, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church ("West Shore" church), 20401 Hilliard Boulevard, a few blocks West of the I-90 Hilliard exit, in Rocky River. The forum-schedule includes a panel discussion, various morning-and-afternoon workshops, a nationally-known guest-authoress, table-displays regarding Social Action and Free Trade, and several national-tour "memorial quilts." A free, "light" lunch will be provided before the keynote-speaker's presentation. A celebrity-speaker reception ($20 per ticket) will be held after the education-event.



The public is invited to attend part or all of the event. Reservations and sponsorship-inquiries are to be e-mailed to kosmac.jean@gmail.com. Substantial parking and a major entrance are at the East Side of the Church, and all entrances are accessible to personal-care equipment. The "Drone Quilts Project" includes several national-tour quilts of collective art, as memorials, regarding casualties of combat-drones. The quilts-display includes the following sites: Plymouth Church, 2860 Coventry Road, Shaker Heights, 3/17 through 3/28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. West Shore church, 20401 Hilliard Boulevard, Rocky River, 3/30 through 4/6, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Lakewood Public Library, 15425 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, from 4/8 through 4/30. Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The displays are free and open to the public.



On Saturday, 3/8/2014, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the "Imagine Peace" and "Social Action" task forces of West Shore church sponsored the documentary-film "Unmanned: America's Drone Wars"--followed by a discussion and refreshments. The event was free and open to the public.



The 3/8 event was part of the "West Shore Film Series," which addresses a wide variety of Community Service and Education issues. Film-events are held each month--on "second-Saturdays," year-round, at West Shore church. "Imagine Peace" and "Social Action" task forces meet each month, year-round, at West Shore church. Keep Playing Cleveland Sports Equipment Drive

Keep Playing Cleveland will be have a sports equipment drive at the Don Umerley Civic Center in Rocky River, Oh. Keep Playing Cleveland is collecting new and gently used sports and physical fitness equipment to be distributed to organizations in Greater Cleveland that serve at risk youth.
