LWV Hot Topics Forum: Regional Antidotes to Sprawl

Grace Gallucci, now nearly two years at the helm of NOACA, the 5-county planning agency, will show us the results of the 3-year, $4.25 million study by the Northeast Ohio Sustainable Communities Consortium. It’s a recently adopted Smart Growth plan that calls for redeveloping our area’s urban centers and slowing outmigration -- identifying measurable goals that could change the future course of our region. Kenneth J. Bindas: The Civilian Conservation Corps (Lyceum Series Lecture)

Come learn about Bindas' work with his students at Kent State University to uncover the Depression era and the Civilian Conservation Corps and their construction of the Virginia Kendall Reserve in the '30s. This lecture will be held at Happy Days Lodge, 500 West Streetsboro Road (State Route 303), Peninsula, Ohio. Lecture begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. This special Tuesday Lyceum Series lecture is FREE!
