WestShore Republicans 2014 Summer Picnic

The WestShore Republicans are holding a Summer Picnic on Saturday, July 12 at the Clague Park Cabin in Westlake from 10am to 3pm. Food & Family entertainment will be provided. Cost is $6/individual, $10/couple and $15/family. This will be a kid-friendly event, so bring the entire family!

"Dog Days of Summer" Dog Wash

Citizens Committee for the Lakewood Animal Shelter (CCLAS) and Nature’s Bin are once again holding the “Dog Days of Summer” dog wash on Saturday, July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (rain date: Saturday, July 19) in the parking lot of the brand new Cornucopia Vocational Training Center. Don’t be caught with a filthy tailwagger. Bring your pooch for a pampering bath and a sparkling clean look!

Prices for the Dog Wash are $10 for small dogs, and $15 for medium to large dogs. Dog nail trimming services will also be available for an additional cost courtesy of Home Alone Pet Sitting. Please make sure your dog is non-aggressive and up to date on vaccinations. All proceeds benefit the homeless cats and dogs at the Lakewood Animal Shelter.

Lakewood Summer Meltdown

This July 12, 2014 we will celebrate the fifth Lakewood Summer Meltdown in Downtown Lakewood.

Over 40 family fun activities during the Healthy Lifestyle Festival sponsored by the Lakewood Recreation Department, healthy food demonstrations, yoga, dancing, sporting skills, various exercise demonstrations, festival games, sprinkler park, kids 1-mile fun run sponsored by the Lakewood Family YMCA, food trucks, Meltdown 5K, and after party with great beer and music from the Burning River Ramblers.
