Tails from the City is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer cat shelter located in Ohio City on Cleveland's near west side. It is a safe haven for abandoned, abused, neglected and homeless cats and kittens. They provide a safe and loving environment for the felines, and work hard not only to care for them, but to find them permanent loving homes.

Tails from the City was founded in late 2011 when a group of acquaintances responded to a call for help with a hoarding situation. Over 100 animals were rescued and while most of those original cats have found forever homes, the number of cats in need continues to grow. As soon as one is placed in a home, another one shows up to take its place.

Visit Tails from the City on Facebook or for more information about the shelter, go to www.tailsfromthecitycleveland.org.

Searching the Internet
6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
In March, Northeast Ohio Pesonal Computers (NEOPC) welcomes Bruce Brockman with his program "Searching the Internet". If you have a computer, tablet or smart phone the chances are 99 out of 100 you use it to "find things". The truth is, the better you are at this task, the more rewarded you are. Searching skills are not something you are born with, they can be learned and improved. This presentation will show you many aspects of "searching" you may not be aware of. You will be given a list of over twenty five unique Internet links that show special aspects of
"searching". You will also be given an ever so very brief look at the mysterious "Dark Web", where actually over 99% of the information available to you resides. Bring your questions and if the speaker cannot answer them, well, we will search for the answer together.
Bruce Brockman, who is currently serving as President of NEOPC, previously had his own businesses relating to the automotive industry and senior computer training.

Heroin & Hope
6:30 PM - 8:45 PM
Lakewood and surrounding suburbs are all too familiar with the devastating effects of heroin and prescription drug abuse on their families and communities. “Heroin & Hope” is an opportunity for people in the community to come together, reinforce our hope and commit to being a part of the solution to conquer the devastating effects of addiction.

“Heroin & Hope” begins at 6:30 p.m. with an open resource room where local organizations and programs will offer recovery, treatment, advocacy and prevention options. At 7 p.m., three featured speakers -- Rachel Dissell, Vince Caraffi and Aaron Marks -- will offer their insights and answer questions from the audience. After the speakers, the resource room will reopen while Dr. Joan Papp and Emily Metz of MetroHealth’s Project DAWN provide a training on the use of Naloxone from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Eligible participants will be given FREE naloxone kits containing two vials of naloxone hydrochloride medication.

Free parking will be available, and The Family Room will be available for free childcare. Please call Jessica Parker (216) 529-5018 for a reservation for childcare as space is limited.
