CLEVELAND CLINIC AND THE EPILEPSY ASSOCIATION OF CLEVELAND ARE CELEBRATING PURPLE DAY® FOR EPILEPSY AWARENESS
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Purple Day® is the global epilepsy awareness day. Purple Day® is celebrated in 80 countries and on every continent in the world with the goal being to raise the public’s awareness about epilepsy. The Epilepsy Association in Cleveland is helping celebrate Purple Day® by encouraging people to wear purple on March 26. This year’s annual Epilepsy Association Purple Day® after-work party will be held at The Harp, repeatedly voted one of the top 10 Irish pubs in the nation, on the near west side of Cleveland. Pre-sale tickets are $25.00 and are available online at http://weblink.donorperfect.com/PD15. This party is open to anyone who wishes to support Purple Day® and help raise awareness around epilepsy. According to the Epilepsy Association, this disease affects approximately 1 to 2 out of 100 people.

Dr. Elaine Wyllie, Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center, will be doing a special book signing this year at the event to debut the 6th Edition of Wyllie’s Treatment of Epilepsy, the standard text for physicians. The first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary copy of The Cleveland Clinic Guide to Epilepsy.
