EVENING WITH THE CAVS!
6:30 PM - 10:30 PM
Cleveland, OH – March 23, 2015 – The Cleveland chapter of the American Marketing Association will host a special event focused on the marketing of the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7pm on April 15th as the team plays the last game of the regular season before heading to the playoffs. A Happy Hour featuring guest speaker Tracy Marek, Senior VP of Marketing/Chief Marketing Officer for the Cavs, will take place at the “Q” prior to start of the game. Ms. Marek will speak on the challenges and excitement of running the marketing department of one of the premiere pro sports franchises in the world in her presentation: The Cavs as a Global Brand. Afterward, all attendees will head to the court to cheer on the team against the Washington Wizards.
Mrs. Marek joined the Cavaliers in April, 2003 as the team's vice president of marketing one month prior to the Cavaliers winning the NBA's draft lottery and subsequent selection of LeBron James. Over the past twelve years she has led one of the country's most progressive and innovative pro sports marketing departments.
Tickets provide 6:30 P.M. admission to the pre-game Happy Hour in the Q’s 2nd floor Annex Room, followed by Ms. Marek’s 7 P.M. presentation, and the final regular season game at 8 P.M. This game is the Cavs Fan Appreciation Night and includes a T-Shirt Giveaway.
Ticket sales start on Thursday, March 26th at 9am and end on Monday, April 6th at 10am. The event ticket will be emailed the week prior to the game by the Cavs ticket department.
