POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE’S BREAKFAST WITH THE INDIANS

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Indians President, Baseball Operations Chris Antonetti headlines panel discussing the role of positive coaching and mentorship in youth development.
• PCA Baseball Coach of the Year will be honored in front of more than 120 peers at Progressive Field on August 16, 2016.
• Matt Englander, head coach, Case Western Reserve University, will receive the Difference Maker award for his positivity during his cancer fight

WHO:

WHY:
This event will feature a panel discussion sharing the techniques the Indians use for player development and the associated parallels with PCA’s mission, including:

• Performance benefits derived from positive coaching techniques
• The role teaching and mentorship play in promoting positive character traits for youth and adult athletes alike
• How the Indians view differences between athletes who come from positive youth sports cultures vs. those who do not

PARKING:
Attendees and media can park in the Gateway East garage or the nearest lot. Attendees will enter through the Right Field gate on E. 9th Street.


About Positive Coaching Alliance - Cleveland
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a 501(c)3 organization that was founded out of Stanford University’s Athletic Department in 1998. PCA trains coaches in live workshops and offers tools and positive coaching concepts drawn from sports psychology research and the best practices of great coaches. Since 2014, PCA-Cleveland has worked with nearly a hundred high schools and youth sports organizations. It has delivered nearly 200 live workshops, and touched the lives of more than 40,000 youths in sports.
