Celebrate Spring with Earth Day and the Great American Cleanup and Keep Lakewood Beautiful

Spring sunshine and warmer winds have finally arrived here in Lakewood, Ohio and the Keep Lakewood Beautiful organization is celebrating this time of year with its Annual Earth Day and Great American Cleanup on April 29th from 9-11am beginning at Madison Park. Come one or come all, and help spruce up the downtown Madison Ave. commercial district. Learn from an arborist, and then we will: plant trees in observance of Arbor Day, plant flowers, and mulch trees and large planters. Super Saturday @ Beck

Join in on the fun, creativity and excitement at Beck Center as you and your young aspiring artists explore music, dance, theater, and the visual arts at this FREE, interactive art experiences for children ages 1 to 8 years, with siblings and friends up to age 10 taking part. Focus for this Super Saturday is Percussion Instruments!

The program begins with a "Hear & Touch the Music" concert at 9:30 a.m. in the Mackey Theater, that features a different orchestral instrument along with an interactive demonstration. Afterward, everyone is invited to take part in visual arts and music experiences in the main lobby area.

InMotion Open House - For those affected by Parkinson's disease

Join us at InMotion and learn about our helpful programs and supportive community we provide for those living with and caring for individuals with PD! All programs are FREE of charge to clients!

Meet some of our staff members and coaches, tour the facility, and watch or take part in and a boxing and/or BED class.

Sweet Confections Perfumery Workshop

Sweet confection sampling & crafting your favorite gourmand perfume.

Desserts to sample: chocolate cake, lemon pound cake, cinnamon roll, and salt caramel cupcakes. Please note... the desserts will not be gluten free or vegan.

What is a gourmand perfume? A perfume that consists of sweet edible notes such as chocolate, honey, caramel, and more. These sweet notes blend well with base notes such as musk and patchouli.

After sampling all four desserts you will craft one 10ml gourmand perfume. All Yates perfumes are blended in a base of fractionated coconut oil and will be bottled in a roller ball bottle.

Coffee & tea will be available. Feel free to bring your own beverage.

All You Need is Love (and Food)
6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Local musicians come together for an evening which celebrates the music of The Beatles while raising awareness about hunger in Lakewood. Ticket and raffle proceeds will support Trinity Lakewood Community Outreach (TLCO), one of Lakewood’s most dynamic hunger relief organizations. Admission is $10 plus a canned food donation and may be purchased at the door (cash only).

Performers include: The Clifton Beat, Desmond and Molly, Danielle Cherry Krimer, The UkeAholics, The George Martins, Pat Miller and Angel Foss, Dan Skutt and Beth Woyshville, Rachel Shortt and Meganne Stepka's Lovely Hearts Club Band.

Station Hope

A jubilant community event that celebrates Cleveland's social justice history and explores contemporary struggles for freedom and equity. Engage with over 250 artists as they envision, interrogate and seek out hope on the grounds of Cleveland's first authenticated Underground Railroad site, St. John's Episcopal Church. Audiences explore the historic properties while viewing works of theatre, music, storytelling and dance inspired by the most important issues of our time. FREE AND OPEN TO ALL.
