The monthly meeting of the Herb Guild Garden Club will take place on June 14, 2017 at the Westlake Porter Public Library. The business meeting will start at 10 am. Following at 12:30 pm Cleveland Botanical Garden Horticulturist Mr. Deyampert Giles will present a slide program on rose growing including how to purchase the best rose and how to keep your roses looking great. As always, guests are welcome to join.
Tickets are on sale now for the Herb Guild's annual scholarship luncheon on August 2. This year the luncheon will be at LaCentre in Westlake. Tickets are $40 and include a delicious lunch, a chance to win a beautiful raffle basket, a fashion show put on by Dress Barn, and many boutique and silent auction items. The fun starts at 10 am. A Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation socialization and arts experience for those with memory loss/dementia and their care partners. It begins with lunch, either brown bag or ordered ahead of time from either D’Italia Foods or Panera (fee), and is followed by an arts, music, storytelling, or dance activity. No cost. Pre-register and/or order lunch at 440-414-0434, ext. 2.

Security for Your Home Computer and Your Mobile Devices

Join NEOPC (Northeast Ohio Personal Computers) to hear 25+ years NEOPC member and former President and APCUG representative Tom Jones speak on "Security for Your At-Home Computer and for Your Mobile Devices". Learn techniques to protect your WiFi at home and your devices on the go. Tom has a wealth of experience in this area; he is a member of InfraGard - FBI and Community Organization, and of Information Security Summit. Tom also has a BE from Vanderbilt University and an MS in Engineering Management from Cleveland State University. He recently retired from his position as a Network Security Engineer at FireEye.
