Cleveland-Bratislava Sister Cities October 16th Meeting
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Program: Andrew Rajec, CBSC Vice-President, will introduce the documentary Dubcek 70, an interview with the Slovak First secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, Alexander Dubcek, concerning his attempted government reforms in 1968 and the August 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia by the Soviet Union and other Warsaw Pact nations that ended the attempt at reform. The documentary will be in Slovak with English subtitles. Attendees that fled Czechoslovakia after the invasion are welcome to speak about their experiences after the documentary is shown.
