Learning to Be Good Neighbors
An Introduction to Islam
What do Muslims believe about welcoming the stranger? Who is Mohammed? How do Muslims practice their faith? Do Muslims believe in life after death?
On Thursday, February 28, from 7:00-8:00 p.m., LCCC Professor Emerita of Religious Studies Cheryl Piper will share information about Islam and welcome your questions. She’ll help separate Islamic religious beliefs from cultural beliefs and open our eyes to the wide spectrum of Islamic believers from Turkey to Indonesia.
This will be the first of three open community conversations on February 28,March 28, and May 2. All are welcome. Reservations are not needed.
