Pastor Dennis Stylski leads a Lenten Bible Study Series using Sunday readings from the common lectionary. Passages provide fertile ground for cultivating knowledge of God and reflecting on how that knowledge can shape the life of each individual and the life of the church. Dennis, a pastor for 46 years, brings a rich understanding of Scripture from the past to today. Bring a lunch if you want to stay for Reflective Prayer. Film Screening & Talk-Back: Mekonen

In this film we meet Mekonen Abeba and learn his incredible and emotional life journey as he immigrates to Israel from an Ethiopian village after his father’s death. Through his remarkable dedication and the support of his Israeli community, Mekonen overcomes many challenges and perseveres to become a paratrooper and officer in the IDF. A talk-back follows with Drs. Marni and Jeff Turell who assisted the Jewish Agency and the Jews of Gondar, Ethiopia, in preparation for their Aliyah to Israel.
