Cleveland Autism Speaks Walk
8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Join us! The Autism Speaks Walk is a fundraising event dedicated to improving the lives of people with autism. Powered by the love of parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, relatives, and supporters, the funds raised help ensure people of all abilities have access to the tools needed to lead ‘their best lives’. The walk includes activities for all ages, local resources, highlighting people on the spectrum in the community, a 1 mile walk around the city, and a great day of community. There is no registration fee and all are welcome! See Walk website for more information.

Rev. Tracey Lind Guest Minister on Living With Dementia

The Very Rev. Tracey Lind, an Episcopal priest and city planner, served as Dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for 17 years and has been a long time, local and national advocate for social justice. Diagnosed in late 2016 with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), Rev. Lind has since lived with this form of early onset dementia that impacts behavior, language, and movement, but leaves memory relatively intact. She and her wife Emily Ingalls will present a sermon, “The Spirituality of Dementia from the Inside-Out and Upside-Down,” during West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church's regular worship service on Sunday, October 20, 2019, which begins at 10:15 a.m. in Rocky River. Tracey and Emily appeared on CBS TV's 60 Minutes show about FTD in May and Tracey has been a featured speaker at the City Club Forum. All are welcome.
