Friendship 411 Social Series
1:00 PM
What does a friend say or do? What is expected of a friend? What are some ways to make new friends? Join Ellen Spear, MA, CCC-SLP, of Lakeshore Speech Therapy, LLC, as she describes the various levels of friendship and helps elementary-aged students recognize the difference between friends and acquaintances. She will also provide strategies to help your child develop and maintain friendships and give tips for how your child can use a “friend file” so others will have positive thoughts about him or her.

These hands-on Elementary ExperiencesSM training programs are designed for families and their children who are struggling. Families will learn targeted skills together and receive a handout with ideas and resources to use at home. Adults are expected to participate in the program with their children. Siblings within the required age range may also attend but must register separately. connectingforkids.org/elementary.
