Over the past couple months, I have witnessed many trees being taken down, and have
gotten many calls from all over about, "Why did we lose our tree, it was healthy?" I have
to admit, after going to the homes and seeing the trees, not all of them contained the
rot or dead wood many Lakewood trees have shown.

At the same time, there has been very little wood showing up in the Canyon, for residents
to grab for fire wood. Don't get me wrong there are some trees there, but they all shows signs
of rot and age, where many of the trees cut down, simply do not.

Hmmmmmmmmmm?

Where do they go?

That's an easy one ... since "they" used up all the Agent Organge during the Viet Nam war in an effort to defoliate forested land thus depriving us of cover, "they" have now resorted to just cutting the trees down so that the mysterious dummying-down substance "they" are spraying us regular Americans with will more easily reach us.

DUH!!!! Soooo obvious!

 Probably be easier to find out by asking whoever cut them down.

Got a note from Joe Beno, P.E.
Director of Public Works

Among other items in it was this...

If you have seen more removal work lately, it's mainly because it is not snowing. The arborists keep records of what trees need to be removed as they come across them during the year. With the light winter that we have been having, removals are one the jobs that we are able to get a head start on since they are not plowing. If there was a foot of snow on the ground, we wouldn't be working on trees yet.

Nice use of time, manpower and good weather I suppose.
