This event is great every year, and kind of scary if you just run into these guys on Detroit without knowing what they're doing there. This year it could be you!

ZOMBIE WALK

The ninth annual Old School Sinema Cleveland Charity Zombie Walk will be held at 3 p.m. April 28 at The Five O’Clock Lounge, 11904 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood.

Stop by at 11 a.m. to join everyone in applying makeup and getting ready. Zombie makeup will be available for a small fee. At previous walks, nearly 3,000 zombies have raised 8,000 pounds of food.

Also, Old School Sinema will be shooting a music video with Lords of the Highway during this event.

Bring two canned food items and $5 for admission. All are welcome to join.

Here's one from two years ago:

Pretty cool. Today's gray skies are the perfect backdrop.

I managed to make it down Fry Avenue with a carload of kids despite approaching zombies! Some pressed their hands and faces against our car windows, others laid down in the street! I was not prepared to take photos but managed a few with my phone. I missed some great shots but enjoyed the show.

Just for fun, someone should organize a group of zombie survivors for next year...toy shotguns and chainsaws to counter the zombies.

 we could really ratchet this up--- make it All Of a Sudden difficult for the police to figure out what's for fun, who has the CCW permit, is a chainsaw really deadly?,
BTW--- did anyone take out a permit for this and what did they put down on the application if they did apply for a permit

To kill a zombie, it takes a blow to the head which will destroy its brain. When mentioning it, I was thinking of Ash from the Evil Dead movies. I suppose any weapon could do the job though.

Silly Stan, zombies can't write. If there's anything on the permit, its probably decayed flesh which has fallen off the bone...maybe some bones too.

 Just heard this on the scanner:
289 (parking meter guy) "Can I have an officer, 11720 Detroit in front of Virginia Marti? There's blood all over the place."
Dispatcher: 229 respond
229: "Do we have any reports from the midnight shift?"
after a minute and a half-----
Dispatcher:"They had the Zombie Walk on Saturday."
229:"Makes sense."
