This morning I received news of caravan of police cars, vehicles, marked and unmarked traveling west.
The driver/caller, and yes I tell all of them to pull over before talking to me. Said "they are headed down to Clifton Beach looks big!"
Well I am down on the beach most mornings, but walked Metro Park instead today. So I jumped in the car and headed to Clifton Beach.
What I found was West Shore Police training.
Now while the Fire Department is pretty open with their training, West Shore Police, not as much. But they assured me, "Nothing to worry about just training."
So watching the training it seemed like they were trying to talk the man to get near or into the boat. And the man was agitated and said no.
After a couple minutes it had progressed to, "No."
Perhaps they should have shown this clip from "Apocalypse Now."
Never get out of the boat!
So losing interest I continued my walk and work out down the beach.
One of the many things I have learned since starting this project, is that Lakewood Police and Fire never stop training.
Thank you all.
Nothing to see, move along.
