http://www.lakewoodtimes.net/The Lakewood Times launched their website and it looks great. The student-run paper is going to be updating the website with articles and photos on a regular basis, which is great learning experience for any high school student looking to continue in the journalism field after graduation. I owe a lot to the paper and the teacher I was lucky enough to have in my days.
The Lakewood Times has gotten a great boost in leadership from teacher Karen Ballash. Students are eager to write and photograph events at the high school and in the community. The staff has been growing steadily in the past three years, and I'm grateful to see kids learning about journalism, ethics, and writing, while having fun.
I'm also glad to see great material being printed and the award winning student paper continue to engage students.
