Just noticed, probably to no one's surprise, that Spitzer is moving out. That, with the old Giant Eagle and Ganley, makes three pretty valuable high traffic sites available on Detroit.

I wonder if anyone will do anything with them. The old Giant Eagle site has been empty forever.

If someone would like to donate any one of those buildings to the rescue I would gladly accept.

Missy
Something catching on in other cities is an inside dog park for the winter. Complete with a couple groomers, sitters, walkers, etc.
Maybe we could get the city to fund that, it has been a real winner elsewhere.
FWIW

I heard the Giant Eagle is owned by Gold's Gym.
I and my business partners may have an idea for the old Tuffy. Will we be able to act? We aren't sure yet. Too early to say.

Last night I also noticed that McGinty's is now McGONEty's, unless it's just a remodel. The place looked like it was always hopping.

I have heard they are re-naming and are planning to target the gay demographic? Have a lot of friends who were regulars there and are none too happy about it.
