June 18, 2007 City Council Meeting
Lakewood's City Council meeting was a packed house as many residents came to express their support for the Lakewood Dog Park, which Rocky River Mayor Pamela Bobst wants closed.
A resolution was passed commending Ennis Court for being rated one of Ohio's top 10 nursing homes by the Nursing Facility Family Satisfaction Survey of nursing homes sponsored by the Ohio Department of Aging.
The dramatic part of the evening was the discussion of Calanni Auto Service. Silvia Weber, owner of Weber Architecture, Charles Abou-Chebl, owner of My Mind's Eye, and Brian Jules, owner of West Side Skates, all made impassioned comments regarding the numerous complaints of the auto repair business bearing Charlie Calanni's name.

Antonio brought forth a communication with several complaints from neighbors and business owners, ranging from parking cars at meters for extended periods of time with no payment, repeated repair work being done at meter sites on Madison Avenue, and numerous parking violations with no tickets issued.
