Game 1, LHS vs Berea football

An emotional evening was capped off by a moving tribute and moment of silence for Varsity Baseball Head Coach Jerry Gruss, who passed away on Thursday, August 23rd. Coach Gruss coached baseball at LHS for decades, and was the head coach for the past seven years. He finished his career with a 180-108 record and a .625 winning percentage.

The football team won by a final score of 37-8 and won this game for Coach Gruss. New runningback (and speedy varsity baseball base stealer) Robert Trivett scored three touchdowns and had a incredible game. He had been sidelined from practice all week with two ulcers on his cornea. A great start to a brand new football season. Everyone played a great game. The next game is on Friday, August 31st at LHS Stadium.
