The Rangers took a quick 6-0 lead against the 8-1 Solon Comets, but the Comets chipped away and tied the game in the fifth inning.

Junior Nick Vagi hit a triple deep into center field to lead off the bottom of the 6th inning and eventually scored the go ahead run on a balk call. John Reulbach scored the critical 8th run to give the Rangers a two run lead, enough to beat the Comets.
