Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers at Blossom Music Center

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers performed a rescheduled show on Wednesday, August 31 at Blossom Music Center. Petty's setlists from the 2010 Mojo tour have been spontaneous, and Wednesday's setlist lived up to expectations. The band weaved in new material, such as "Jefferson Jericho Blues", "Running Man's Bible", and "Good Enough" between the essential "Free Fallin'", "Breakdown", "Refugee" and "American Girl", which closed their set.

Petty's quiet demeanor didn't hold him back from the occasional laugh or dance move, as he moved his way around the stage, entertaining the large crowd for just under the two-hour mark. The summer heat didn't hold any of the band members back from great performances, and guitarrist Mike Campbell didn't miss a beat during guitar solos. The reason of the rescheduling was because Campbell was under doctor's orders to rest after coming down with heat exhaustion in the middle of their tour in July.

Fans, many with tour merchandise in hand, left happy from one of the best concerts the Cleveland area has seen all summer.
