School Board member Linda Beebe kicks off the roast of Chas Geiger. -
Linda starts telling the story of Chas and whip cream. -

Then pulls out a can of whip cream. -

Next up Lakewood's favorite accountant Tim Lasky explains how Mike Summers bailed out and he had 1 day to prepare, but he came loaded for bear. -
Tim is a funny guy anyway, but when he went into how little Chas works while at Geigers got everyone laughing. -
and laughing. -
Next up was Chas' roomate in college, Jeff Smith and the story of the Corvair, the ice cream machine, and Chas working at a Sorority House where he met many woman including his wife Patty. -
Followed by the story of "Fiji Weekend"! -
The Gordon Geiger (Gordo) took us way back, to when Chas kncoked out his front tooth... -
... and broke his arm. -
Gordo also made it clear that he was the younger brother. -
Patti Geiger explains about the gorilla backed man she calls husband. -
While on the cruise, when he would back up the entire group would say, "beep, beep, beep." -
Then explained his scam on getting back rubs from the kids. -
Then it was Jack Gustin's turn, starting off was Fred DeGrandis, President and CEO, Cleveland Clinic regional hospitals. -
Fred wasted no time telling us about Jack's hijinxs when he was an ambulance driver for Lakewood hospital. -
The group was in in laughing non-stop as Fred talked about leaving the sirens on at 3:00am. -
Good fun, hearing about Jack in the golden days. -
Fred shakes Jack's hand before sitting down. If anyone has had the pleasure of watching these two together know, what good friends they are. -
Dennis Roche, immediate past chairman of Lakewood Hospital Association Board of Trustees, and Executive Director of Positively Cleveland, reads a letter from Dr. Toby Cosgrove, that he broke into Jack Gustin's office to get some dirt on Jack. -

It was very good laugh between friends. -

Back to the heirachy and how the "poop falls." -
Then explained how he tried to find Jack Gustin on Google with no luck. Then tried Fred DeGrandis and Jack Gustin and got over 100,000 returns. Then trying to figure out how the Clinic is growing so fast entered "Fred Gustin" and got this! Fred Gustin is the second from the left in the back row. -
The roasters, and crowd fell apart with laughter. -

Dave first turns his attention to Chas. Geiger then... -
asks Jack to reenact the reading of a book, as they have many times in an early reading program sponsored by Lakewood Hospital. -
The story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Dave brought props, the porridge bowl. Ohio State of course. -
and a wig for Jack who was reading Goldilocks part. -
With a shake of his new blond locks, it begins. -
Jack, always a good sport had fun with it. -

The roasting ended with very kind words from Mrs. Gustin, and a hug. -
Chas Geiger gets his chance, but takes the high ground. did you expect anything else? -
"I am sorry I broke my brothers arm..." -

Then it was Jack's turn to set the record straight, but also chose the high road. -
As the evening comes to an end, and the roast concludes, Jack's looks to the heavens with a thank god! -
With a big thank-you to the crowd... -
... the crowd gave back a standing ovation to two of the good guys in Lakewood. It was a fun night and a great start on a annual tradition that can only grow.
