  • A psserby who was a witness to the entire thing, stands about where he was standing when he heard the first shot.
  • Waterbury, a crime scene.
  • It was at this house at 2051 Waterbury Ave. A man was killed with a single shot to the forehead, while at a "party." The shooter then left and shot another person in the leg twice in the driveway.
  • The corner arrives to determine cause of death while a neighbor looks on.
  • Meanwhile a half a block away the police had surrounded the hous of one of the girlfirends.
  • While over on Lakewood Ave. at the same time we had SWAT with one of their armored vehicles, police and fire, trying to see if one of the shooters was hiding in the attic, over there. As there had been a report that is where he would hide.
  • Teh hook and ladder approaches the attic window where one of the shooters was believed to be hiding at about 1am.
  • they put it right up to the window. This is a nightmare for the police. They cannot see in, and if there the shooter has a great opportunity to get a couple shots off.
  • Two members of SWAT go up the ladder.
  • They look in the window, then...
  • ... proceed to break the glass out.
  • Mayor Summers speaks with members of fire, SWAT and police at about 2 am.
  • After establishing the shooter was not there, they leave.
  • At 7am at the corner of Quali and Madison, another arrest is made, with an ambulance standing by.
  • Police arrest 3 more hooded thugs, arrested on Halsted at 8am.
  • The home where the girlfriend lived.
  • The house on Lakewood Ave. where they thought one of the shooters was hiding.
  • The broken out window.
  • And the house where it all started.
  • While this is one message from Waterbury...

  • ... this is another.
