Religious Riot - 3.0

The gang from St. Louis was back protesting Jerry Springer" The Musical, and let's just say it must be a money make for both!

  • Driving down the street headed home I notice we have another religious riot at the Beck Center!
  • I park the car and see some forms of intelligence.
  • But by the time I get to the corner I am starting to wonder if Jesus would want the sidewalks block. And if not him what about the police?
  • I spot Beck Center President and CEO Cindy Einhouse, Thomas Mulready and a Beck Board Member having lunch at The Rush Inn.
  • As I gave over the iine-up, which is bigger than before, I can't help but wonder if they are not back because of how well they were treated?
  • I start thinking, I hope they are buying stuff locally. I mean I would hat to see them stop at a Chick-fill-a out of Lakewood. We need a Baptist Rib joint or something.
  • A couple new signs, hmmmmm, maybe a craft store of office store where we could sell them materials to write crazy stuff on!
  • You know, with a crowd like this, there could be possibilities...
  • This is the leader of the church. He is the largest benfactor, and he brings in nearly $7 million a year. DAMN! Have we got a church for this dude. Set up just across the street from the portal to Hell!
  • They seem like a hard working lot.
  • You would think with all of the money they bring they could leave the school bus behind and get some travel coaches, or buy a church locally, did I mention to you cats we have at least 4 for sale?
  • Yeah, we sell these guys a couple churches then figure out how to attrack and cash in on others...
  • You know, it is like a parade in reverse! Can we market something where the people drive through endless lines of signage and characters?
  • I mean they have their own band!
  • Love for the art
  • Certainly make the area look busy.
  • I know it seems as far fetched as hitting the lottery. But maybe we need to bring bacj the RPDBGFP, and get some flags going. We need to make this the home of meaningless non-stop protests against things that do not matter. Book them into the Jose Mesa Hotel...

  • Awww s$@#t someone asking me something.

  • Just as I was grooving on the idea of this being the home to unstable rioters, Some guy came up with his pocket video camera and a bunch of lights and said...  Do you believe in free speech? Well thinking he was one of the real media at other websites by the look of the equipment. I said, Sure, for both the protesters and the Beck Center and the arts.  I mean I had convinced myself this was our future. Then he starts telling me how, I will burn in Hell for all eternity. I try to explain that in most semi-real religions you have to be more than a video dude to send someone to Hell for all eternity. While I argue if he has the power to send me to Webb Market for even a pack of cigarettes or gum. He assures me he speaks for God. As I ask for proof two of the leaders of the church come up and assure me, He is not really stable, and tends to get overzealous at times. That he will not harm anyone. All I could do was laugh and say,  Well yes that is obvious. But how long has been the leader of your group? They assure me he is not the leader, The leader has the megaphone, and will talk when he is done with prayers. They take me over, and he starts reading prayers again waving me away! Damn! I have this effect on pseudo-religious leaders of groups.

  • I am thinking a couple of these people did not come here from St. Louis.
  • One more shot looking west. As the candles are handed out for a candlelight moment.
  • Wow, now it has become cool with the arrival of Cool Cleveland's Thomas Mulready. I always count on either Tom or Peanuts showing up.
  • The Harrants walk up showing their tickets to the show. They are huge supporters of the arts, and free speech.
  • Thomas steps in front of a perfect photo to make a 5 secnd video. How can you not love that guy!.
  • Half the crowd was under the age of 20. The other half...
  • ... were possibly another age.
  • As I drove by and saw the candles, it just reenforced the idea. These low scale riots could be a real brand builder and money maker. Just think, we could sell them street banners to let us know when they are coming.
