Tim Laskey, who the Tim Laskey Public Service Award was named after gets ready to present it to Ken Haber over his shoulder, and his wife Kathy. -
Ken and Kathy Haber one of Lakewood's great families. -
So the little dude turns to me and says, I thought 70 Lewis was playing here?
-
Ken and Kathy Haber are the recipients of this year's Tim Lasky Award for Public Service. This award was done in Tim's and his wife's Patty for all of the hard work, time, energy and just support the Laskys have given to the city. Probably the only family in the entire city that could give the Laskys a run for their money in what they have given this city are Ken and Kathy Haber. As Tim said when presenting the award. "I could list everything these two have done, but we would be here for days." Just another wonderful Lakewood Family. From left to right, Mary Anne Crampton, Ken Haber, Kathy Haber and Tim Lasky. -

A million captions come to mind. But let me assure you, Councilwoman Monique Smith was just a great sport through all of the posing. -

Everywhere I turned visitors from all over having their photos taken. So like a good native I asked to take a picture of all of them to show their friends back home. -
Hey those people aren't tourists! It Thomas Mulready, Carol, Max and friends from out of town. OK I'll take it. -

The Bakers, always like running into the Bakers.
-
As I leave I stopped by the busiest group in the whole event LOBC. Lakewood Outdoor Basketball Courts. Must of had 30-50 kids shooting hoops all afternoon. This photo alone should help everyone understand what great opportunities we are missing to build this community with no outdoor hoops.
