On September 1, 2010, the Lakewood Historical Society held a talk about the history of porches in the U.S. It was attended by a large crowd at the Lakewood Library Autitorium.

Jean Rickert, of the Lakewood Hisotrical Society, was the hostess at the evenings event.

Kerrington Adams, of the Cleveland Restoration Society, was the commentator for the show on porches. He did a fine hour and a half presentation. It was received well by all in attendance.
