“BE THANKFUL!” – Thanksgiving Eve Community Event!
On Wednesday, November 26, the Lakewood Ministerial Association will co-host “Be Thankful” an ecumenical celebration with special musical guests, Scott Troyer and Katie Nelson - - - two new voices in the realm of contemporary Christian music, who are currently touring through the northeast United States.
The service will begin at 7 pm, with a seasonal reception preceding the service at 6:15 pm. Location: The Lakewood Baptist Church (14321 Detroit Avenue; corner of Detroit and Lincoln Avenues).
This event is open to the public, and there are no admission costs. Rather, a free will offering will be collected, with all monies benefiting the ministries of the Lakewood Christian Service Center.
This promises to be a unique evening of both traditional and newer music, aimed at honoring our diverse community united in common purpose and mission.
Those participating will include members and ministers from the Lakewood United Methodist Church, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, The Lakewood Christian Church, The Lakewood Congregational Church, The Church of the Ascension, The Lakewood Presbyterian Church, and The Lakewood Baptist Church.
