Join Keep Lakewood Beautiful For The Great American Cleanup

Dear Citizens of Lakewood:

With spring rapidly approaching, Keep Lakewood Beautiful needs your help to Keep America beautiful in Lakewood. You, or a group to which you belong, can take part in the nation’s largest organized annual cleanup, beautification and community improvement program----Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup™.

Last year, over 2.3 million volunteers in over 15,000 communities volunteered to pick up millions of tons of litter, renew hundreds of parks, plant thousands of community gardens, beautify thousands of miles of community roadways, and clean up rivers, lakes and seashores… and more! This year, Keep Lakewood Beautiful will be participating in the Great American Cleanup™ and we are seeking volunteers, residents and Lakewood organizations to join us. Our city’s annual Great American Cleanup™ program will be Saturday, April 24 from 9:00 – 12:00.

There are several ways you can help. Call Keep Lakewood Beautiful and select a neighborthood, school or any other site to clean up, beautify or improve. You can also join one of the clean- up, beautification or community improvement events that have already been organized. All registered groups will receive complimentary Trash Bags for litter cleanups. Other event “tools” may be available at no charge as well. For more information or to register, call 529 – 6602, or email Holly.Lauch@lakewoodoh.net.

This has been a successful community event in Lakewood for many years. We are thrilled that Lakewood continues to support this event . So, organize your neighbors, church groups, school kids for this vital community effort and show your pride and help us Cleanup Lakewood on April 24th. Keep Lakewood Beautiful looks forward to working with you and will be in touch after you contact us and leave a message with your interest in the Great American Cleanup and joining this vital community effort.
