Finding the right contractor is vital to the success of any home repair project. As part of our housing outreach initiative, LakewoodAlive is collecting contractor evaluations. This community service is modeled after a program of the Cleveland Height’s Home Repair Resource Center and is designed to help homeowners identify quality contractors to perform home repair. While it is still the duty of a homeowner hiring a contractor to thoroughly check references and screen potential contractors, residents can review comments made by neighbors based on their experience. Homeowners providing feedback must certify their opinion to be truthful and their identity will be kept confidential.

The completed evaluations are stored in the LakewoodAlive office and are available to Lakewood residents to review.

Please visit our website: Lakewoodalive.com and click on the link under “housing news, contractor evaluation” to download and print the evaluation form. Forms are also available at the LakewoodAlive office at 14701 Detroit (lower level 10, under Panera) and at the Building Department of City Hall.
