Former City Councilman Ryan Patrick Demro being promoted to First Lieutenant by Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo A. Javier, Commander of the 983rd Engineer Battalion located in Monclova, Ohio. Following his promotion, Demro was transferred to the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion in Columbus, Ohio. He is currently undergoing branch qualification at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
