Don't Dump Your Pets!

I need a home

Nine years ago a beautiful white persian cat wandered up to our doorstep. She was most likely dumped by her owners who couldn’t keep her so we took her in. Last Thanksgiving we took in two 8 week old Turkish Angora kittens (The Turkish Angora is an ancient breed of cat originating from Turkey. It is thought to be the ancestor of all long-haired cats). We found them crying outside the apartment building next door, we thought they had been dumped and nobody claimed them. We tried to find a home for them but failed so we ended up keeping them.

We are currently feeding a sweet, loving tabby who we call Rose. She showed up about two months ago (the little darling wouldn’t hurt a fly). She is declawed in the front and we think she is spayed too. She desperately needs a home because the inn at our house is full!

Altogether, we’ve had 11 stray cats come and go (we would capture them and give them to the animal shelter or they would disappear before we had a chance to).

Thousands of pets are dumped every year, but you can decrease that number! If you have an unwanted pet you can take it to your local animal shelter, post it on Petfinder.com, and/or find someone to take it in. If you do have a cat or dog, the Cleveland Spay & Neuter Clinic is very cheap.

Just remember that animals are people too, so don’t dump your pets!
