Beatles Tribute Invades Lakewood to Raise Awareness And Money For Hunger Relief
Area musicians and community leaders will take the stage on January 28 at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood Masonic Temple to perform and celebrate the music of the Beatles. All proceeds of this family friendly event, "All You Need is Love (and Food)", will support the hunger relief efforts of local nonprofit Trinity Lakewood Community Outreach (TLCO).
Attendees can expect a casual, fun evening with a coffeehouse atmosphere complete with baked treats and coffee bar included with admission thanks to the Root Café. The night will be capped by an “all-star” performance of All You Need is Love performed by several of our own Lakewood "celebrities.”
Founded in 2009 as the community outreach arm of Trinity Lakewood Church, the mission of TLCO is “fostering a healthier community through collaboration, education and meeting basic needs.” TLCO accomplishes this by providing four community hot meals each month, a free monthly produce distribution (between June and November), a community garden that supports the hot meal program, and community-based health and wellness programming.
The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue. Admission is a suggested $10 donation and a canned food item. Children under 10 are free. For more information - please contact Jason Weiner, TLCO Vice-Chair and event organizer at 216-394-9695 or jasonhweiner@yahoo.com.
