  About 100 4th and 5th graders from all seven of Lakewood's elementary schools gathered on Feb. 11 at Lakewood High's East Gym for the 14th annual Jump Rope for Heart event. The students jumped for two hours for heart health and to raise money for the American Heart Association. The district has raised nearly $100,000 over the years for the Heart Association.
