Facebook And Pinterest: Discover What They're All About

On two evenings in October, Kelly Pavlovic from Feather & Stone Designs will be at the Lakewood Public Library to help you learn everything you need to know to get started on these social media programs.

If you’re craving more contact with children or grandchildren or itching to find classmates and long lost pals, Facebook may be the answer. With more than 800 million users worldwide, Facebook is the largest, most popular social media application. On October 23 at 7 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium, Kelly will show you the basics to get started on Facebook and explain how to protect your privacy while you’re there.

Named by Time Magazine as one the 50 Best Websites of 2011, Pinterest is an online photo and video sharing application that lets you save your own photos or other interesting things you find on the web. On October 30 at 7 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium, Kelly will show you the basics, inspire you with ideas, and talk about why Pinterest has become all the rage.

Expand your reach on the web, have fun and learn the basics of two popular social media sites this month at the Lakewood Public Library. All programs are free and open to the public.
