Lakewood To Postpone Halloween Trick-or-Treat Until Sunday, November 4th

Due to the adverse weather conditions expected this week, the City of Lakewood has announced that Halloween trick-or-treating has been postponed until Sunday, November 4, 2012. Trick-or-Tricking will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“The safety of our children is most important,” stated Mayor Mike Summers. “With the expected weather forecast due to the hurricane, it is in the best interest of our community to postpone this annual tradition. Halloween is supposed to be a fun time and we want to make sure our kids are safe and are able to enjoy the evening.”

Sunday also marks the end of Daylight Savings Time so residents are reminded to turn their clocks back one hour.
