Special Concert Watermelon Wine: The Poetry Of Americana Music With Anne E. DeChant And Frye Gaillard
Award-winning songwriter and Cleveland native Anne E. DeChant will return to Lakewood Public Library with author Frye Gaillard for Watermelon Wine: The Poetry of Americana Music, a unique afternoon of scholarship and song at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
In his award-winning book, Watermelon Wine, Gaillard maintains that great American songwriters, like DeChant, explore the depths of the human heart with all the subtlety and feeling of our finest novelists and poets. During this special event, Gaillard will present brief readings from his works, setting the literary context for DeChant’s all-acoustic renditions of her songs.
