Expect Delays On W. 117th During Road Resurfacing

The project to resurface W. 117th Street began on Thursday, September 25.

That means southbound traffic — on the Lakewood side of the street — will be reduced to one lane, from Edgewater Drive to Berea Road. Long delays are expected.

Work is expected to be finished by December 2014, weather permitting.

The city of Cleveland is resurfacing the northbound lanes; work on that project is expected to be finished around the same time as Lakewood’s resurfacing.

Motorists are reminded to use caution while driving the 1.1-mile stretch of road.
