Lakewood Arbor Day Observance Reaches For The Sky

The city of Lakewood and the Lakewood Tree Task Force are inviting Lakewood residents to “reach for the sky” and help plant trees.

The city is observing Arbor Day on October 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Madison Park.

Participants will learn how to plant trees and tips for tree care. They are also encouraged to bring own spade and dress in clothes for the weather and boots for mud.

The city of Lakewood has been designated a Tree City USA community for 37 consecutive years — the second longest streak in the state of Ohio.
