Announcing Important Voting Location Changes For Over 8,200 Lakewood Voters

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is informing Lakewood residents who have been voting at Lincoln, Grant and Roosevelt Elementary schools that they have been moved to new polling places for the November 4, 2014 General Election. The voting location changes were made due to the closure of the three school buildings to make way for the construction of new school facilities.

The Board of Elections has mailed all affected voters Voter Location Notification (VLN) cards to inform them of their new polling locations. In addition, voters will receive a letter from the Director of the Board of Elections and then shortly before the November 4th Election they will receive a Voter Information Card (VIC) in the mail as another reminder of the changes.

“It is important for people to pay close attention to their mail and to read all Board of Elections correspondence,” said Pat McDonald, Director of the Board of Elections. “We want to make sure that everyone knows where to cast their ballot during the November 4th General Election. “I also encourage all voters to check their ward, precinct, and polling location before every election to make sure nothing has changed since they last voted,” said McDonald.

Voters may check their ward, precinct, and voting location at: www.443VOTE.com or call the Voter Information Hotline at 216-443-VOTE (8683).
