Look No Further Than Downtown Lakewood For Your Local Dermatologist

For the first time in many years, Lakewood and Cleveland’s West Side residents need look no further than downtown Lakewood to visit a Dermatologist. That’s because board certified Dermatologist, Dr. Stephanie Neider MD FAAD, has just opened an office in the INA building one floor above the Panera Bread restaurant at 14701 Detroit Avenue. Dr. Neider is located on the second floor in Suite 268 and is accepting new patients, often with same day appointment availability.

Although Dr. Neider grew up in and around Columbus, and completed her medical schooling and dermatology residency at The Ohio State University, her ties to Lakewood extend back to her roots when her parents lived in an up-and-down ‘Cleveland Double’ on Clifton Boulevard near Nicholson. “I still have fond memories of fun neighbors and friends on our street. My husband also grew up in the area and as we  considered relocating to Lakewood and other places close to family like Washington D.C. and Los Angeles a few years ago, Lakewood stood out not only as a great place to raise our family, but also as a bustling and vibrant environment for both work and play."

Dr. Neider’s practice focuses on medical dermatology including conditions of the skin, hair, and nails - strictly adhering to all best practices prescribed by the American Academy of Dermatology in her procedures and treatments, while also offering a variety of cosmetic procedures including laser hair removal, Botox, as well as vein and acne remediation. She has over 14 years experience in treating over 20,000 patients everywhere from New York City, to Columbus, and Northern Michigan. "Dermatology has often been most rewarding in treating skin cancer and severe acne cases… any time a positive outcome is achieved in treating a disease or condition, thereby alleviating suffering and prolonging life, that is what is at the heart of the practice of medicine."

In her spare time, Dr. Neider enjoys hikes in the metroparks, bicycling with her family, and travel. She has spent a lot of time in South America including her entire senior year of high school in Argentina as an exchange student through her local Rotary Club, and a few stints in Peru for a medical school rotation and an excursion into the Amazon Rain Forest for a few weeks. Most recently she and her entire family got to visit the jungle in coastal Panama with another local family -and were able to bring school supplies to the Bahai Honda village school through the nonprofit: Education is Power and the La Loma Jungle Lodge.

Dr. Neider is excited to be joining the Lakewood medical community with her caring staff, and is looking forward to serving the skin care needs of the greater community for years to come.
