Last Minute Market Features Lakewood's Industrious Past and Present

Templar Car

Now in it's seventh year, the Last Minute Market & Screw Factory Open Studio will once again welcome the public to visit on Saturday, December 20th from 10am to 6pm. A building made to make cars 98 years ago, it is now a thriving example of adaptive reuse. Studios for art, craft, fitness, and dance co-exist with industrial manufacturing, office space, and warehouses right on the edge of the Birdtown neighborhood.

The Last Minute Market & Screw Factory Open Studio is a curated, one-day marketplace of handmade, modern art and craft. One of Lakewood's largest holiday art events, this market features more than one hundred juried sellers and more than fifty studio tenants and their invited artist guests. Thousands of visitors each year get a peek into the art studios, as well as at the nearly-antique cars in the Templar Motors Factory Display, experiencing a unique piece of Lakewood's past and present in the Lake Erie Building at 13000 Athens Avenue.
