Help Local Pets On Super/Puppy Bowl Sunday
The NFL playoffs are underway (without the Browns, again), which means we are rolling toward Super Bowl Sunday. Here in Lakewood, Super Bowl Sunday signals the return of the annual “Stuff the Subaru” event to benefit “My Best Friends Bowl” (MBFB). MBFB is a local volunteer group that collects dog and cat food to help local pet owners in need. This helps Lakewood families to keep their pets, preventing more animals from being surrendered to local shelters and rescue groups.
Here are the details of this year’s event:
DATE: Sunday, February 1st
TIME: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - So you’ll be home in plenty of time to see the Puppy Bowl!
LOCATION: Lakewood High School - You can even stay in your car if it’s cold…just pull in off Franklin Ave.
ITEMS NEEDED: Dog and Cat food, as well as one gallon zip lock bags. The bags are used by volunteers to distribute dry food to end users.
You’ll probably be on the road picking up snacks or going to a party, so please stop by to donate!
