Lakewood Collaborative Monthly Meeting features Dr. Ned Hill, CSU's Dean of College of Urban Affairs

2015 Kiwanis Pizza Bake-Off

5th Annual Pizza Bake-off featuring 16 Pizza shops from Lakewood all in one place at one time.. $10 for 13 & up, $ 5 for ages 6-12, under 5 free. Voting for Best Pizza in 5 different categories. All proceeds support Lakewood Kiwanis.

Come join your neighbors young and old as we celebrate living, working, and playing in Lakewood! Bring a dish to share (enough for 6-8 people) which highlights your culture. We will also have activities for the kids, and food from local Lakewood restaurants. This event is free.

Time Management for the Modern Parent PTA Wellness Series: It's All About You

7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

This workshop is designed to provide practical tools of time management support in helping manage the complexities and demands of parenting and family life. The class takes a holistic approach to examining the relationship between life balance, mental focus and personal organization systems. We will also examine how 'boundaries and beliefs' play an important role in creating optimum harmony in daily life management. In addition to lecture presentation, we will explore self-care practices that enable balance; including deep breathing, mental centering, emotional release and hands on scheduling improvement strategies.

Also, the Job Club meeting provides information and resources to assist people with finding a job in today's market. The Job Club is free and open to the public.

Parkview Playschool Open House

6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Families looking for a preschool for the 2015-2016 school year are invited to attend this event. It will be an opportunity to learn more about what a co-operative preschool can offer and a chance to explore the classrooms. Our teachers and parent board members will be available for questions. Registrations will be accepted the night of the open house. Children must be three years old by September 30th and potty trained to enroll in classes. Hospice Volunteer Education

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Saturday and Sunday, January 31 & February 1 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 East 185th Street, Cleveland, OH 44119. Anyone 13 years of age or older interested in making a difference in the lives of others is welcome to attend this training. Volunteers interested in working with patients attend both full sessions, while volunteering in non-patient areas and teen volunteers only attend the first 4 hours on January 31. RSVP required.
