Gifted Program Community Meetings Set For February 25 & 26

For the past year, a committee comprised of administrators, teachers and parents has been meeting to review the Lakewood City Schools' gifted education program and make recommendations on how to improve services to the district's gifted learners. The committee has looked at all aspects of the program including how students are identified, how services are delivered and what the philosophy of the program should be.

Two community meetings are scheduled to share the committee's findings and review where the program is headed. Content will be the same at both meetings, set for February 25 & 26 at 7 p.m. in the Harding Middle School Cafetorium. Pam Griebel, the district's Director of Teaching and Learning K-12, will be presenting.
