Library Expands Free Computer Class Offerings

Lakewood Public Library has expanded the computer class schedule for the spring season. Beginning in March, Computer Basics will be offered twice per month on Thursday mornings along with the return of Internet Search Skills and Microsoft Word Basics offered once per month on Wednesday mornings. All morning classes start at 10 a.m.

The Job Search Skills one-on-one class has expanded by popular demand to include two Tuesday evening sessions per month and two Thursday morning sessions per month.

Mornings start at 10 a.m. and evenings start at 7 p.m.

Job Search Skills: A 30 minute personal session with the library job hunting expert tailored specifically to your needs.

Computer Basics: For those who are new to computers, we’ll cover the basics. From the desktop, to the keyboard, applications, folders, you’ll learn the lingo and how to make a computer work for you.

Word Processing Basics: Learn how to create, format, spell check, cut, copy, paste, save and many other crucial skills.

Internet Basics: Learn about the Internet and some tips and tricks to find exactly what you’re looking for; also we’ll give you some tips on Internet security and safety.

No matter what your skill level, Lakewood Public Library staff can provide the knowledge and tools to achieve your technological dreams.
